Job Description

The Biophysical Characterization group in Pharmaceutical Sciences is seeking a talented and highly self-motivated scientist with solid experience in biotherapeutics characterization. As a Senior Scientist, you will be responsible for characterization of biotherapeutic drug products with focus on higher order structure. You will be working in a collaboratively team environment to support both early and late stage formulation development. You will be responsible for building fundamental formulation stability understanding to ensure formulation robustness. Additional responsibilities include writing technical reports, presenting technical data, and project management. The selected individual will have the opportunity to work with a wide array of scientists from our different divisions and make significant contributions towards our development efforts of biotherapeutics.

Education Minimum Requirement:

Ph.D. in Biophysics, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related discipline with 0-4 years' experience.

Required Experience and Skills:

Fundamental understanding of protein science, protein/peptide stability, and protein-protein interactions

Experience with biophysical and biochemical techniques for biotherapeutics characterization.

Self-motivated with an outstanding scientific track-record. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Track-record of independent problem-solving and application of advanced innovative scientific approaches.

Desire and willingness to learn and contribute.

Excellent organizational skills to multi-task and manage multiple projects.

Desired Experience and Skills -

Experience with molecular modeling.

Experience with BioNMR and/or Mass Spectrometry.

Experience with formulation development and analytical method development.
