Job Details

The Department of Chemistry at the University of Hawaii at Manoa invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor of Organic Chemistry. Exceptional candidates with a PhD in Chemistry or closely related fields are encouraged to apply. 

The successful candidate will be expected to develop a robust research program in Organic Chemistry. Research that takes advantage of the strategic needs of the State of Hawaii and synergizes with existing areas of interest within the department will receive special consideration, e.g. marine natural products, enzymology, protein structure, cancer research, etc. The successful candidate will also demonstrate an ability to contribute to the teaching missions of the department.
