The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences & Experimental Therapeutics invites applications for twelve-month, tenure track Assistant/Associate Professor faculty positions to join the Pharmaceutics program. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics, Engineering Sciences, Materials Science, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Physical Chemistry or a related discipline. Relevant postdoctoral experience, previous teaching experience or work experience is sought for applicants applying at the Assistant Professor level. A successful candidate is expected to contribute to the professional, graduate and undergraduate teaching programs, to mentor graduate students and post-doctoral scholars, and to establish or have established an externally funded, nationally-recognized research program through securing external research funding and demonstrating an exceptional record of published scholarship.

 

The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Experimental Therapeutics currently consists of 20 faculty members, and more than 60 graduate students, post-doctoral fellows and visiting scientists who participate in the educational and research programs within the department. The Division of Pharmaceutics and Translational Therapeutics consists of faculty members with expertise in biomaterials, pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical chemistry, drug delivery, pharmacokinetics, pharmacogenomics and experimental therapeutics. The Division is home to two Ph.D. subtracks, one focused in Pharmaceutics and the other in the Clinical Pharmaceutical Sciences.
