The Chemistry Department at Drake University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position, beginning August 2020, in the area of biochemistry.  Required: a PhD or ABD in Biochemistry or related field.  Applicants are expected to demonstrate a strong interest in teaching undergraduates and the potential to establish an active research program that engages undergraduate students.  Teaching duties will include an introductory chemistry class as well as courses in biochemistry.  Drake University has an ACS-certified chemistry major, a biochemistry, cell and molecular biology major (BCMB), and a biophysics concentration.
