DIRECTOR OF GENERAL CHEMISTRY INSTRUCTION
The University of Georgia Department of Chemistry (chem.uga.edu) invites applications for a
Director of General Chemistry Instruction. The appointment will be at the rank of Academic
Professional, which is a full-time (12-month) non-tenure track faculty position. Applicants are
sought who can demonstrate a commitment to excellence in instruction as well as a clear and
creative vision for the management of a large first-year chemistry instructional program. A Ph.D.
in chemistry or related field is required; 5 years previous experience in chemistry education,
especially administrative experience, is highly desirable. Candidates should submit a cover letter
of interest, curriculum vitae, and concise statements of accomplishments in teaching and
administration and their relevance to this position included with the teaching portfolio. They
should also arrange for at least three letters of recommendation to be submitted. The application
