The Department of Chemistry & Fermentation Sciences at Appalachian State University seeks outstanding applicants for a Lecturer position in Analytical/Forensic Chemistry.
Minimum qualifications include M.S. or Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry or Forensic Chemistry or Forensic Science. Applicants with degrees in fields related to forensic chemistry will be considered if they have a minimum of 18 graduate hours in chemistry. While all applicants will be considered, forensic experience is particularly encouraged. The successful candidate will be expected to provide instruction (15 contact hours) in both forensic (Toxicology or Microscopy) and analytical courses (Quantitative Analysis or Instrumental Analysis) and may also be teaching introductory chemistry courses. The instructor will be expected to do departmental and/or university service, hold office hours for students and perform the normal duties associated with teaching.
