The Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Rochester (UR) is pleased to invite applications to fill a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position. This full-time position comes with university benefits and opportunities for promotion. The position’s key responsibilities include: (i) instructing undergraduate chemical engineering  laboratory courses and other core courses; (ii) conducting periodic assessment of student learning to fulfill accreditation standards; (iii) mentoring students and staff members; and (iv) making decisions related to laboratory operations and personnel, including compliance with regulations, budget priorities, long-term planning and development and implementation of  lab policies. The position also offers opportunities to collaborate with UR faculty members. Information about the department can be found at: http://www.che.rochester.edu.

Suitable applicants must have a strong foundation and education in Chemical Engineering. A B.S. in Chemical Engineering is preferred, and a Ph.D. is required. Substantial teaching experience, laboratory or industrial experience in Chemical Engineering is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to motivate and inspire students are essential for success in the position.
