The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering invites applications for a full time, non-tenured, renewable faculty position in Biochemistry/Biomolecular Engineering with a start date of January 2020 or September 2020.

An Industry Professor's primary roles are teaching, mentoring and educational innovation, and the position may also entail some administrative work and outreach. The department offers BS degrees in Biomolecular Science and in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, MS degrees in Chemical Engineering, in Chemistry, in Biotechnology and in Biotechnology and Entrepreneurship, and a PhD degree in Chemical Engineering.

 

Qualifications

We invite applicants for classroom and laboratory teaching in all areas of biochemistry, with particular emphasis on Biochemistry/Biomolecular Engineering subjects such as, for example, Bioseparations and Bioreactor Design, Protein Engineering, and/or Genetic Engineering to undergraduate students at Tandon. You should be an excellent teacher. You should have a Ph.D. in Biochemistry or a closely related discipline and a record of industrial/postdoctoral experience and/or teaching in these areas.
