Optical sensors for illicit drug detection using surface-enhanced Raman Scattering (SERS)
The Engineering Photonics Research Laboratory (EPRL) at Oregon State University (OSU) is seeking a postdoc scholar who is interested in SERS sensing. This National Institutes of Health (NIH) funded position will primarily focus on solving the grand challenge of detecting trace level of illicit drugs from environmental samples for the battle against the opioid crisis in the United States. The position requires a Ph.D., expertise in SERS sensing, nanomaterial synthesis, analytical chemistry, as well as excellent communication skills (speaking and writing English). Experiences with chemometric methods such as principal component analysis and support vector regression are a plus.
For interested candidates, please submit CV directly to Prof. Alan Wang at
EPRL at OSU is the leading research laboratory in Oregon by developing cutting-edge nanophotonic devices and integrated photonic devices with focus on resolving many engineering challenges that can impact our future life. More information can be found at: http://photonics.oregonstate.edu
