This project is a collaborative effort among four research groups that include a team of graduate students and postdoctoral scholars. The duties of the position include the design and construction of a nonlinear subdiffraction optical microscope, and the subsequent application of the instrument to study a variety of samples of relevance to the Department of Energy's mission. The position requires the safe use of Class IV pulsed laser systems. In addition, direct supervision of graduate students, writing manuscripts and other scientific reports are key duties for this position.

The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and will be expected to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences.
