Job Details
The Department of Chemistry at Lehigh University is seeking a 9-month per year, full-time, non-tenure track Visiting Assistant Professor to contribute to our undergraduate general chemistry instruction spanning the Spring and Fall semesters of 2021, with the possibility to be extended for the Spring semester of 2022 based on acceptable performance and available funds.
The position requires a Ph.D. in chemistry, significant teaching experience, and expertise in the use of current teaching methods in general chemistry courses. The successful candidate will work with the Director of General Chemistry and the General Chemistry Laboratory Manager for the continued development, delivery, and daily operation of the general chemistry lecture and lab courses. The ability to contribute to the instruction of other courses in the candidate’s area of expertise, in addition to perform the required general chemistry duties, is desirable.
