Primary Purpose
The Department of Chemistry at Idaho State University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 2021. The candidate should possess a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry or related fields. The successful candidate will have primary teaching responsibility in organic and secondary teaching responsibility in the candidate’s specialties. A research program involving undergraduate and master’s students and pursuit of external funding is required. Teaching experience at a university level or postdoctoral experience is a plus. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. The position includes a startup package and competitive benefits. 

Key Responsibilities
At Idaho State University, formal faculty workload is 60% teaching, 20% service and 20% research. For this position, the teaching responsibilities will include organic chemistry and special topics courses (in candidate’s expert fields), including laboratory courses.

Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry or related fields. 

Preferred Qualifications
Teaching experience at a university level and/or postdoctoral experience.
