- Ensures the proficient workability of the LIMS and troubleshoots problems that arise; performs periodic upgrades
- Works and coordinates with Accelerated Technology Laboratory personnel as they program the LIMS in response to the requirements and customization required by PCS’s lab and the QC program
- Works closely with the QA/QC Officer and Sample Custodian to ensure that staff follows all QA/QC procedures for data analysis, data evaluation, data transfer, and LIMS operations
- Keeps all analysts and instrument computers current with latest versions and data backed up
- Performs all duties of the LIMS Maintenance Module
- Implements/configures the Result Point module
- Implements/configures the “SMTaskManager” for Automation
- Manages STL FTP (File Transfer Protocol) Site (ATL website) – checks for updates
- Ensures PCSMS and LIMS communicate properly with sample transfer
- Backs up LIMS data and associated files
- Reestablishes Sample Master (LIMS) communications/interfaces with servers, computers, printers, etc. when needed
- Develops, modifies and maintains forms and interfaces for data entry into the LIMS
- Develops program scripts to export/import LIMS data to/from external agencies and to extract data from contract labs into the LIMS
- Creates and maintains analytical instrument and device interfaces for data upload into LIMS
- Develops and maintains custom reports from SQL database, training and training Support
- Provides/conducts training on LIMS
- Manages analyst roster and tracks training and certification status, customizes drop-down lists and menus, develops additional LIMS functionality, generates queries, etc.
