The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Texas State University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Physical Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry at the Assistant Professor rank for Fall 2021. Candidates with research interests in all areas of Physical Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry are encouraged to apply. The applicants must have: a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in physical chemistry, analytical chemistry or a closely related field; relevant postdoctoral or equivalent research experience; a strong publication record; potential to establish an externally funded, nationally recognized research program; and the ability to teach physical chemistry or analytical chemistry courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Candidates should also demonstrate their ability to develop a diverse and inclusive learning community, have research expertise that complements the department, and be able to effectively mentor chemistry undergraduate and graduate students.  Faculty with research interests in materials chemistry may have access to doctoral students within Texas State’s interdisciplinary Materials Science, Engineering and Commercialization program.
