The University of Texas at San Antonio

The Chemical Engineering Program at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) invites qualified applicants for a Tenure Track position at the assistant or associate professor rank. We are particularly interested in applicants with a research emphasis in Materials application in Energy and Petroleum engineering. Applicants are expected to teach undergraduate and graduate chemical engineering courses at all levels. The successful hire will work closely with a diverse population of undergraduate and graduate students, develop an externally and internally funded research program, and build strong government and/or industrial research collaborations. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter, have excellent written and oral communications skills, be committed to interdisciplinary, cutting-edge research across academic units, and demonstrate their ability to work with and be sensitive to the educational needs of a diverse urban population.
