The Princeton Institute for the Science and Technology of Materials (PRISM) at Princeton University (https://materials.princeton.edu) invites applications for an assistant professor position in the general area of Materials Science and Engineering.  We welcome outstanding candidates from diverse backgrounds and disciplines in engineering and the natural sciences to apply.  The successful candidate will be jointly appointed between PRISM and the academic department at Princeton best aligned with the candidate’s work.

This is intended to be a broad search open to all areas of materials science and engineering including Materials and Methods in Advanced Manufacturing, Quantum Materials Science, Soft/Living/Bio-Inspired Materials, Materials for Energy/Environment, and Photonic Materials/Light-Matter Interactions.  We are seeking enthusiastic and creative scholars who will enhance our academic community through their research and their strong commitment to teaching and mentoring of students with diverse backgrounds.  We strongly encourage applications from individuals who identify as members of groups that are underrepresented in science and engineering.
