Job Details

The Department of Chemistry at Hanover College invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor of Chemistry with a specialization in Biochemistry / Bioinorganic chemistry to start August 2021. Teaching responsibilities include the introductory chemistry sequence, the upper-level biochemistry sequence, a biochemistry seminar course that serves as the culminating experience for Biochemistry majors, and one semester of inorganic chemistry. The successful candidate will demonstrate their ability to excite and interest students in the classroom and the lab. Additionally, the candidate is expected to lead student research in a liberal-arts environment, and we seek to build an inclusive faculty that can engage the interests of an increasingly diverse student population.  Minimum qualification is a Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field.  ABD considered but degree must be earned prior to start date.
