Job Details

The University of North Alabama invites applications for a tenure-track, rank open faculty position in the Department of Chemistry and Industrial Hygiene beginning August 2021. Teaching duties will include quantitative analysis, chemical instrumentation and general or introductory chemistry. The successful candidate must demonstrate a dedication to excellence in teaching, a proficiency in the use and maintenance of a variety of analytical instruments, and a commitment to research that is appropriate for an undergraduate department. Participation in college service and student advisement is also expected. Salary will be commensurate with degree, rank, and experience.

The University is a fully accredited comprehensive regional university, and the department offers an ACS-certified chemistry major. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in chemistry with post-doctoral experience preferred. Candidates who are ABD will also be considered.
