The Medicines for All Institute is seeking an analytical chemist with experience supporting process chemistry development to assist in their mission to develop economical processes for making critical medicines accessible to those in need. Expertise in HPLC, GC, MS, SFC and other analytical technology is a must. A Ph.D. or MS with experience is required. M4All is located in new facilities in its Richmond VA location which offers the benefits of small city living at a moderate cost. Position: This position will be responsible for the development and performance of analytical methods to support process chemistry development, maintenance of analytical instrumentation within the labs, training and education of analytical techniques, transfer of analytical methods, research and development of new technology to address problems, etc.

Required qualifications: Extensive experience supporting process chemistry development in a pharmaceutical setting.  Extensive hands-on experience with a wide-range of analytical instrumentation.   The College of Engineering at VCU supports a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment. The candidate will demonstrate experience that shows their commitment to fostering such an environment.

Preferred Qualifications: A Ph.D. in biochemistry, analytical chemistry, or organic chemistry OR an MS degree with numerous years of experience is preferred.  Previous research experience with a focus on chromatography.  Ability to train lab users, and ability to perform routine preventative maintenance and coordinate service visits.
