The Department of Chemistry at the University of Texas at Austin invites applications for tenure-track positions at the Assistant Professor level in all areas of chemistry, subject to available funding. Exceptionally qualified applicants will also be considered for Associate/Full Professor positions.

The Department of Chemistry's mission is to create new chemical knowledge while providing all of our students with an innovative and forward-looking scientific education grounded in the fundamentals of chemistry. Key research includes drug discovery, green chemistry, cancer research, energy, and materials chemistry. The department has state-of-the-art mass spectrometry, NMR, and X-ray crystallographic facilities, and a full-time scientific glassblower. We are ranked 15th best chemistry graduate program in the United States by US News and World Report (2019 ed.).
