Postdoctoral Research Associate

The successful candidate will join a transdisciplinary research team that is developing novel microfluidic/nanofluidic systems to integrate bottom-up and top-down proteomics for improved comprehensive analyses. The individual in this position will have the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of system development, data acquisition, and database searching. The postdoc will have the opportunity to broaden research experience and improve expertise while working in an exciting collaborative research environment including research groups at the University of Illinois and University of Wisconsin. Required qualifications include:
- A Ph.D. in engineering, chemistry, biology, or a related field. Per University policy, eligible candidates must have obtained their Ph.D. degree within 10 years of the start date of the position.
- 2 years of research experience with database searching of proteomic analysis and collecting proteomic data
- Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines, strong interpersonal and excellent communication skills, and the ability to self-direct research.
The Postdoctoral Research Associate is a full-time, benefits-eligible position appointed on a 12-month service basis. The initial appointment is for one year with the possibility of extension based on performance and funding.
This position is available immediately but the start date is negotiable. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
