Department of Cancer Biology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute

Department of Biological Chemistry & Molecular Pharmacology

Harvard Medical School

The Departments of Cancer Biology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Biological Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology (BCMP) at Harvard Medical School invite applicants for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. We seek imaginative and creative early career scientists who will bring their chemical biology and/or medicinal chemistry expertise to important problems in basic and translational sciences. We offer an exciting and collaborative work environment that includes diverse faculty with research interests spanning chemical biology, cancer biology, structural biology, pharmacology, cell biology, biochemistry and medicine. We strongly encourage team science, entrepreneurship and mentorship of scientists and physicians from diverse backgrounds. The two departments are known for exceptional scientific and scholarly resources, interdisciplinary research and a supportive environment. The successful candidate will become a member of the training faculty of one or more of Harvard University’s Ph.D. Programs such as Biological and Biomedical Sciences (BBS), Biophysics or Chemical Biology, which attract extraordinary graduate students, and participate in the teaching of graduate students. Applicants will be housed at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and will be members of the Dana-Farber Chemical Biology Program.

The departments are keenly interested in diversifying their faculty and encourage applications from a diverse set of candidates, including from women and underrepresented groups. Both organizations are committed to supporting the work-life balance of faculty.

We are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, pregnancy and pregnancy-related conditions, or any other characteristic protected by law.
