Obiter Research is a rapidly growing, privately owned chemical research and manufacturing company located in the Champaign, Illinois. We are expanding and hiring more talented organic chemists to fill our needs. Chemists who have Masters or Ph.D. degrees in organic chemistry are encouraged to apply.
The chemists in our company interact with a variety of kinds of chemistry and the scale ranges from mg to multi-kilo grams. We will provide thorough training for all industry related equipment. All applicants should have a proven track record of mechanical skills with good problem solving ability. If you are ambitious, detail-orientated, highly efficient and talented in organic chemistry, we are looking for you. Obiter Research L.L.C. is a contract chemical research and manufacturing organization. We make custom compounds for the pharmaceutical, drug discovery, agrochemical and biotechnology industries as well as government and academic research institutes. We specialize in the design and synthesis of difficult organic compounds.
For complex, multi step synthesis, we find new ideas developed through collaboration and communication, free from organizational boundaries. Frequently, the right solution is not strictly in the chemistry, but the chemical engineering. Our in-house machine shop and glass blowing capability allows for custom equipment design and implementation to assure a successful completion of a project.
Our custom built 20,000 sq. ft. facility provides us with a total of six laboratory suites and 21 fume hoods including separate space and hoods for kilo scale production and analytical research and quality control.
Obiter Research L.L.C. has expanded beyond research, discovery and process development, and now performs kilo scale manufacturing up to a maximum of 1000 kg/month of specialty chemicals.
