Job Details
The Department of Chemistry at Carthage College invites applications for a full-time one-year appointment starting August 2021. The candidate must be able to teach general and physical chemistry. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Chemistry and a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and supporting a diverse student population.
The Chemistry Department is ACS certified and has recently moved into a newly renovated science center. Our equipment includes a 400-MHz NMR, GC-MS, HPLC, GC, FTIR, MP-AES, and UV/VIS. The Carthage faculty is firmly committed to the liberal arts tradition and interdisciplinary work. A demonstration of teaching ability will be required at the final interview.
