Job Details

The Department of Chemistry at Boston University invites applications for up to three full-time teaching and research Postdoctoral Associate Lecturer (PAL) openings starting as early as July 1, 2021 and no later than September 1, 2021. This innovative program, formerly the Postdoctoral Faculty Fellow (PFF) program, is designed for recent Ph.D. recipients planning to pursue teaching-focused academic careers. Of particular interest are candidates capable of supporting the teaching of freshman General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, and/or Physical Chemistry. Initial appointments are full-time for one year, and are renewable based on satisfactory performance. The duties of the appointment are divided roughly equally between teaching and research. The teaching component will involve guided experiences in teaching undergraduate courses with opportunities to develop new curricula and implement innovative teaching methodologies. Research is conducted in affiliation with a faculty research group.
