Postdoctoral Research Associate Position
Division of Chemical and Biological Sciences
Ames Laboratory (USDOE), Iowa State University

The Division of Chemical and Biological Sciences at the Ames Laboratory, a Department of Energy National Laboratory affiliated with Iowa State University, is searching for qualified Postdoctoral Research candidates to fill a Postdoctoral Research Associate position available within the NWChemEx Exascale Computing Project. Research activities will be conducted under the supervision of Dr. Theresa Windus. The project involves a multi-investigator interdisciplinary team involved in the redesign, engineering and application of computational methods.  The position requires the completion of a Ph.D. degree in chemistry or related field, with experience in the development and coding of high performance computing methods prior to the appointment. Experience coding in C++, software cycles, modern computer architectures and use of repository software is preferred.  All areas of quantum chemistry will be considered, but experience with reduced scaling correlated methods is preferred.
