Anderson University (South Carolina) and the College of Arts and Sciences invite applications for a full-time, nine-month faculty member in the area of Chemistry beginning in August 2021 (or January 2022). An earned doctorate in Chemistry or a related discipline from a regionally accredited institution is preferred; an ABD or master’s degree will be considered. Experience teaching at the undergraduate level is also preferred. Screening will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. Faculty rank and status (including the option of tenure-track) will be determined at the time of appointment based upon the degrees, experience, and record of scholarship.

The faculty member will be expected to teach undergraduate chemistry classes in the areas of general chemistry and organic chemistry. Chemistry faculty maintain a teaching load of 24 credit hours per academic year, supervise undergraduate research projects, and advise.
