CLARKSON UNIVERSITY. The Department of Chemistry and Biomolecular Science invites applications for a tenure-track open rank faculty position to start Spring 2022. Research expertise is sought in the broadly defined areas of materials/nanoscience/colloids/surface science, including chemical-mechanical polishing and related applications, and should complement that of current faculty and build on departmental strengths.

The successful candidate is expected to maintain a vigorous, creative, externally funded research program. Primary teaching responsibilities will depend on expertise and department needs, and will support the department’s undergraduate, MS and PhD programs in Chemistry and Biomolecular Science. 

Clarkson offers a highly interdisciplinary and collaborative environment and opportunities for affiliations with our Center for Advanced Materials Processing (, Institute for a Sustainable Environment ( or other Clarkson research centers are abundant.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. and have outstanding research potential. Postdoctoral experience is highly preferred. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until position is filled.
