The Department of Chemistry at the University of Kansas invites candidates to apply for an Assistant Teaching Professor position expected to begin August 18, 2021.  The individual selected for this position will primarily teach undergraduate General Chemistry courses, with the possibility of occasional assignment to upper division undergraduate courses in their area of specialization.  They will work with the Chemistry Department administration, faculty, and teaching staff to develop and implement effective and inclusive instructional approaches and materials for chemistry courses.  They will also participate in assessment and documentation of student learning and in the training and supervision of teaching assistants. This renewable 9-month, non-tenure-track, position also has service and research expectations.
