Drexel University invites applications for an Assistant Professor (tenure-track) position in biophysical chemistry. It is expected that the successful candidate will build a vigorous externally funded interdisciplinary research program that applies a variety of up-to-date spectroscopic techniques to biomolecules and biomaterials. We expect him/her to seek collaborations with research groups in other departments in the Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. She/he should have a Ph.D. in chemistry or relevant disciplines and postdoctoral experience. With her/his teaching and research the candidate will contribute to the development of a curriculum in Biochemistry or Chemical Biology. Regarding teaching, the candidate will be in charge of undergraduate major and graduate courses in physical chemistry. The candidate should have a strong track-record of publications in well-established scientific journals. We expect a strong commitment to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and an equally strong readiness and capability to mentor undergraduate, Master’s and PhD students.
