NYU Shanghai is currently inviting applications for a position at the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor in Chemistry with a specialization in Organic Chemistry or Chemical Biology. Successful candidates must have a Ph.D. in Chemistry or Biochemistry or a closely related discipline and demonstrate the potential to do pioneering research and teach effectively at the undergraduate and graduate levels. NYU Shanghai is continuing a significant growth plan coinciding with a move of campus to the vibrant Qiantan neighborhood of Shanghai with over 38,000 square feet of new research space. Interested faculty are able to participate in significant interdisciplinary programs within NYU Shanghai, as well as with NYU’s global network of campuses in New York and Abu Dhabi.

Applicants should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, a detailed description of research plans and interests, and a statement of teaching experience and interests. Additionally, applicants will be prompted to enter the names and email addresses of at least three referees. Each referee will be contacted to upload a reference letter through Interfolio. Applicants for the rank of associate or full professor are requested not to provide referees at this time.

Terms of employment at NYU Shanghai are comparable to NYU New York and other U.S. institutions with respect to research start-up funds and compensation, and they include housing subsidies and educational subsidies for children.
