Responsibilities include teaching, service (both in accordance with the standards for the academic department in which the candidate is appointed) and research, including operation of a vibrant research group to benefit from both Princeton University and Ludwig Branch funding (with expectations to compete also for external funds).  The research focus of the Ludwig Princeton Branch is cancer metabolism (including immune metabolism and tumor microenvironment), broadly defined to also encompass development of relevant physical, chemical, computational, and engineering technologies and exploration of relevant biological factors including diet and the microbiome.  Applicants are expected to hold a PhD or MD, optionally with relevant additional research experience (industrial, postdoctoral, or as a faculty member), and a strong track record of research accomplishments.  We value building a culturally diverse intellectual community; women and members of underrepresented groups are strongly encouraged to apply.  Applicants should submit a description of research interests (typically 2 – 3 pages), curriculum vitae, a list of publications, and contact information for three referees online at  https://www.princeton.edu/acad-positions/position/21721.  For fullest consideration, please apply by October 15, 2021.  Princeton University is an equal opportunity employer.  All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.  This position is subject to the University’s background check policy
