Professor of Practice

Job Details

Clinical-track faculty position at the assistant professor level. The successful candidate will teach up to three core chemical engineering courses each semester. Possible courses include Unit Operations Lab; Process Design, Economics & Strategy; and Process Simulation & Product Engineering. In addition, the candidate will prepare and test equipment for laboratories with assistance from the department design engineer, machinist, and laboratory supervisor, and will be responsible for supervising graduate and undergraduate teaching assistants.

Required: B.S. in Chemical Engineering or equivalent discipline; Ph.D. preferred but not required.

Desired: Commitment to teaching excellence and embracing and promoting diversity, Experience working cooperatively and collegially to advance teaching programs with greatest efficiency and highest impact; Industrial experience or prior history collaborating with industry; Experience using chemical engineering computational tools; Experience using social media tools.
