The University of Illinois at Chicago invites applicants for an analytical chemistry position at the rank of tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry beginning August 2022 subject to budgetary approval. Preference will be given to candidates who have strong background in bio-analytical chemistry. Candidates may hold a doctorate degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or a closely related field. The successful candidate is expected to develop an independent, innovative, and active research program and to contribute to teaching graduate and undergraduate students.  Located in the heart of Chicago, the Department of Chemistry of the University of Illinois at Chicago is an internationally recognized Tier 1 research institution by the Carnegie Foundation. The department is comprised of over 30 research active faculty members who mentor more than 150 graduate students in all areas of chemistry and interdisciplinary research.
