Job Details

(EH&S) as the Associate Director of Laboratory and Environmental Safety. This position will be a leader of the University’s EH&S team and manage the University’s laboratory and environmental safety programs, including the safe, secure, and legal handling of biological agents, hazardous and radioactive materials, and the proper management of chemicals in a growing research and teaching environment. Mississippi State University, an R1-Very High Research Activity University, is among the top 100 research institutions in the country, ranked by the National Science Foundation and the Magnolia State’s leading research university. MSU’s research and development expenditures totaled nearly $265 million in FY 2019, accounting for more than half of the research and development expenditures reported by all Mississippi institutions. The Associate Director will manage a diverse and outgoing team of EH&S professionals that support faculty and staff across two campuses, nine academic colleges, and twenty-three research and extension centers to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
