The Department of Chemistry at the University of Dallas seeks applicants for a full-time tenure-track Chemist at the Assistant Professor level to begin in August 2022. The successful candidate must be committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching and is expected to develop a productive undergraduate research program. Preference will be given to applicants with a Computational Chemistry background who can teach undergraduate Physical Chemistry. The candidate will aid in advising majors, including students interested in graduate and professional careers.
A Ph.D. is required by August 2022. Applicants should submit the following materials: (1) a cover letter addressing the candidate’s interest in teaching at an undergraduate institution, (2) a curriculum vita detailing all academic and professional experience, (3) a statement of teaching philosophy (1-2 pages), (4) a concise overview of the candidate’s proposed research including equipment list with start-up costs (up to 5 pages), (5) transcripts, (6) contact information for three letters of reference must be provided in the application portal, and (7) a brief statement on how you would support the University’s liberal arts mission.
