Tenure-Track Assistant Professor.  The Department of Chemistry at Sam Houston State University, a member of The Texas State University System, invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor position.  We are seeking a Ph.D. physical chemist or physical inorganic chemist, preferably with post-doctoral experience. Duties will include research and teaching undergraduate courses in general chemistry, physical chemistry, and either inorganic or analytical chemistry as well as graduate courses in their area of expertise. Candidates are expected to be dedicated teachers, productive researchers, and professionals prepared to become actively engaged in the diverse programs administered by the College of Criminal Justice. Candidates for this tenure-track faculty position should have a doctoral degree in a forensic science specialty, criminalistics, chemistry, or a related natural science. Although not required, candidates with experience in an applied forensic science setting are encouraged to apply.
