Position Summary:

Responsible for assisting chemist in performing custom organic synthesis to make compounds by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Purify and isolate synthesized molecules under the supervision of staff chemist.
• Assemble reaction glassware as directed.
• Clean glassware as required
• Assist in the maintenance of equipment such as large Bűchi rotoevaporators.
• Maintain a clean and safe laboratory work area
• Maintains a chemistry synthesis notebook(s) and raw material lists
• Provide oral updates to as requested
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Attend all relevant safety training

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic ability to use Microsoft word and e-mail.
