The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of South Carolina (http://www.chem.sc.edu/) is seeking exceptional candidates to join our collegial and multi-disciplinary program, on August 16, 2022, as a tenure-track faculty member at the level of ASSISTANT PROFESSOR in the area of BIOCHEMISTRY, broadly defined. Minimum qualifications are a Ph.D. in biochemistry, chemical biology, molecular biology, chemistry, or a related discipline plus a minimum of 2 years of postdoctoral experience by the start date of employment. Candidates with expertise in bioinorganic and bioorganic chemistry, microbiology, natural products biosynthesis, synthetic biology, and structural biology are especially encouraged to apply.  Candidates are expected to develop a cutting-edge, externally funded research program and have a strong commitment to excellence in graduate and undergraduate teaching.
