The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) invites applications for multiple tenure-track/tenured faculty positions in the fields of Energy/Thermo-fluids Sciences.  We welcome applications from candidates focused on Emerging areas of Energy/Thermo-fluids.

Applicants should have a PhD in mechanical engineering or related areas, and are expected to have recognized pertinent academic, research and/or industrial experience.  Successful candidates would be expected to establish externally-funded research programs and have strong commitment to teaching and mentoring.

HKUST is a world-renowned, international research university in Hong Kong.  The University has been ranked among the top universities in Asia by QS Asian University Rankings.  Its School of Engineering is dedicated to maintaining a world-leading expertise in mechanical and aerospace engineering and has recently invested in advanced computational and experimental resources.  There are 30+ faculty members, about 450 undergraduate students and 450 postgraduate students in MAE Department.  The University is committed to increasing the diversity of its faculty and has a range of family-friendly policies in place.

Appointment at all ranks (Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor) will be considered.  Salary is highly competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits including medical and dental benefits, annual leave and housing will be provided where applicable.
