The Department of Chemistry at Le Moyne College, located in Syracuse, NY, invites applications from qualified candidates for a tenure-track faculty opening for the position of Assistant Professor, beginning August 2022. The College is seeking a chemist with teaching expertise in Inorganic Chemistry. The successful candidate will have a teaching load of 9 contact hours per week (per semester), which includes teaching Inorganic Chemistry lectures, inorganic and materials labs, and teaching other introductory Chemistry courses. In addition, the candidate should be an active scholar with research interests in Inorganic Chemistry (or related Chemistry fields) who can engage undergraduate students in research and provide academic advisement to Chemistry majors.
Qualified applicants must possess a Ph.D. degree in Inorganic Chemistry or an interdisciplinary field that includes Inorganic Chemistry from an accredited university/college. The Ph.D. degree must be conferred by no later than the position start date. Qualified applicants must also demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching undergraduate courses.
