The Kansas Polymer Research Center (KPRC) at Pittsburg State University is looking to hire an Analytical Services Manager to join us in our mission to expand our position as a leader in materials research. The KPRC is on the cutting edge of bio-based polymer research with a strong core competence in polyurethanes. As a senior member of our leadership team, you’ll join a dedicated team of scientists and business development specialists in identifying, and pursuing, promising research opportunities and transferring the resulting technologies into the market place. With our newly founded National Institute of Materials Advancement (NIMA) the polymer/plastics arena provides a broad range of opportunities to have a positive impact on the global environment and on the regional economy. 

The Analytical Services Manager directs all analytical and testing services by organizing, staffing, equipping, planning, coordinating of testing and evaluation operations, reporting, certificating, and record keeping for all research and contract efforts within the National Institute of Materials Advancement (NIMA).  Master’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution, MBA degree with three (3) years business related experience, and eight (8) years’ technical experience with chemistry, polymers and chemical research, including synthesis, purification, characterization, sample preparation and material testing, data collection and interpretation of research and results are required.  Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
