*REVISED* ROLE of the POSITION
The new faculty member will be expected to: a) contribute to the undergraduate and graduate teaching in General and Physical Chemistry and develop new graduate level courses in their area of expertise, b) develop a vigorous externally-funded research program in Experimental Physical Chemistry, c) engage in service to the University and community, and d) mentor undergraduate and Ph.D. students in research. Applications in the area of materials and surface characterization using x-rays (including lab-based methods and synchrotron radiation) that could make use of our existing cutting-edge instrumentation are particularly encouraged.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Chemistry, Physics, or a closely related discipline. The successful candidate must possess a proven record of research accomplishments and post-doctoral research training or equivalent research/industrial experience. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start of employment.
SALARY RANGE
The salary is competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. Position is contingent upon funding.
