POSITION:  Assistant Professor of Chemistry

STARTING DATE: Fall 2022

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required: Doctorate in chemistry (ABD will be considered). Qualifications and interest for teaching general chemistry, analytical chemistry, instrumental methods, and a willingness to support the distinctive mission of the College. A successful candidate will contribute to the college’s undergraduate biochemistry research program.

Preferred: Earned Doctorate by the start date; successful college-level teaching experience. Preference given to candidates with the ability to assist with instrument maintenance, including an LC/MS.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teach the equivalent of seven undergraduate courses (three in Fall term, three in Winter term, and one in May term) from among the following: General Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Instrumental Methods, and Research Methods. The successful candidate will also have interest and ability to teach non-major and general education courses.

SALARY: Competitive for entry-level appointment.

CONTRACT: Nine-month, tenure-track
