Tenure Track Faculty Position in Chemistry

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Mississippi, located in Oxford, Mississippi, invites applications for a Tenure Track Faculty Position at the ASSISTANT PROFESSOR level open to any area of CHEMISTRY to begin in August 2022. Outstanding individuals with expertise complimenting active programs in the Department are strongly encouraged to apply. Areas of specialization could include but are not limited to biochemical, analytical, organometallic, and energy-related research. Multidisciplinary researchers across two or more of these areas are especially encouraged to apply. Applicants must have a Ph.D. and relevant postdoctoral experience in chemistry or a closely related field.

The Department has 18 tenured and tenure-track faculty, 7 teaching faculty, and over 50 graduate students. The successful candidate is expected to establish a nationally recognized, externally funded research program and demonstrate excellence in teaching.
