Job Details

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Auburn University invites applications for a
tenure-track, nine-month position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the area of Experimental
Spectroscopy. All areas of fundamental and applied spectroscopic research will be considered.
As a Research I university and one of the nation's premier land, sea, and space grant
institutions, Auburn University is fully committed to creating a stimulating academic
environment for high-quality research and teaching excellence. The successful candidate is
expected to develop a vigorous, externally funded research program and teach at both the
graduate and undergraduate levels. Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
are required. A Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry, or a closely related field and at least one year
of postdoctoral experience are required at the time employment begins. The successful
candidate must be eligible to work in the United States at the time employment begins and
continue to work legally for the proposed term of employment.
