The Department of Chemistry at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in synthetic Bioorganic Chemistry, broadly defined. Applicants must have a PhD in chemistry, or a related scientific field, with postdoctoral experience and a strong research record. The successful candidate is expected to establish a highly productive, externally-funded experimental research program. Candidates whose scientific interests complement those of existing faculty within the Department and College, and who can develop cross-disciplinary collaborations, are preferred. Dedication to undergraduate and graduate teaching with a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is required. The Department offers BA, ACS-accredited BS, MS, and PhD degrees in chemistry, a BS degree in biochemistry, offered jointly with the Biology Department, and participates in a college-wide Integrative Biosciences PhD program.
