The Department of Chemistry and Physics invites applications for a tenure-track appointment in Chemistry at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning Fall 2022. Successful candidates will have expertise in the area of biochemistry with preference to applicants who can also teach in the general chemistry sequence. The department supports undergraduate research and the successful candidate is expected to develop a research program in their area of expertise involving undergraduate students. All tenure track RWU faculty must demonstrate effectiveness in the following three categories: teaching, scholarship, and institutional/community service.
Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or closely related discipline and evidence of excellence or potential excellence in teaching are required. Candidates with postdoctoral training and experience teaching undergraduates, both in lecture and in the laboratory, is preferable.
