Position Summary:
Responsible for assisting chemist in performing custom organic synthesis to make compounds by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Purify and isolate synthesized molecules under the supervision of staff chemist.
- Assemble reaction glassware as directed.
- Clean glassware as required
- Assist in the maintenance of equipment such as large Bűchi rotoevaporators.
- Maintain a clean and safe laboratory work area
- Maintains a chemistry synthesis notebook(s) and raw material lists
- Provide oral updates to as requested
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Attend all relevant safety training
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.

Ability to solve problems and analyze data without supervision

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic ability to use Microsoft word and e-mail.
