Job Details

The Department of Chemistry at The University of Alabama in Huntsville invites applicants for a non-tenure track faculty position with the rank of Lecturer beginning January 2022. Applicants must have completed at least 18 graduate semester hours in a chemistry or chemistry-related program and possess at least an MS degree in an area of chemistry. The initial appointment will be for one year, with renewal for longer periods based on performance reviews and availability of funding.

Applicants should provide evidence of effective teaching experience, excellent communication skills, and a strong interest in working with undergraduate students. Familiarity with modern teaching technologies and Canvas LMS is desirable. The successful candidate will teach four chemistry courses per semester during Fall and Spring at the undergraduate or graduate levels. Service, e.g., for departmental programs concerned with undergraduate student activities and instruction are assigned by the Chair of the department.
